Jesus Christ calls believers to pour out their lives on behalf of others, near and far, so that everyone can experience Jesus and the love he has for them. In fact, the Bible teaches that it is through our service that people will experience Jesus and the life-changing gospel in concrete, personal, & transformative ways. (See “Redemptive Gospel.”)
Our Missions program is dedicated to realizing this biblical vision both in the United States and abroad. Our goal is to reach as wide as the Holy Spirit enables us – starting with our local community in Teaneck, NJ and extending into two strategic regions bookmarking the 10/40 window: Cote d’Ivoire and China.
In terms of overseas missions, not only do we plan annual short-term missions trips to these two regions, but our objective is to establish and sustain lasting relationships with long-term missionaries in these areas. These partnerships have served as effective conduits enabling the redemptive gospel not only to take hold of hearts, but of families, communities and governments.
It is Hope’s goal to become a full-fledged missions church: able to train, send, and support missionaries both short-term and long-term here in the United States and overseas. It is an exciting time for us as we dedicate ourselves to building the spiritual and organizational foundation for this goal in the coming years.
Anyone can get involved in mission by either helping raise funds, giving funds, through prayer, service or by going on a trip to witness firsthand the immense needs around the globe.
